Nissan Australia has continued its recent product onslaught by announcing pricing and specifications for the 2018 Nissan Navara. A subtle model year upgrade rather than a facelift or even all-new model, the 2018 Navara adds extra equipment across the range.
It also focuses on improvements to the ute’s ride and handling, as well as its load carrying capability. Pricing has increased on some variants by up to $500, and pricing starts from $25,990 for the single cab, $28,490 for the king cab and $33,490 for a dual cab – all plus on-road costs.
“The 2018 Nissan Navara includes some important new additions that will continue to entice Ute buyers to the Nissan brand,” said Stephen Lester, Nissan Australia’s managing director.
The 2018 Nissan Navara update includes subtle upgrades across the range to improve its everyday usability. All models aside from the entry-level DX are now equipped with a reversing camera as standard – though, for RX models, this is integrated into the rear view mirror, and for all other models in their 7.0-inch touchscreen.
SL, ST and ST-X models are also equipped with a digital speedometer, whilst ST-X models now earn a 360-degree parking camera and ST king cab gains inbuilt satellite navigation. ST-X models also now offer a $1,500 leather package that includes black leather upholstery on the seats and doors, heated front seats and an 8-way electric driver’s seat with lumbar adjustment.
Nissan Australia has also announced that the 2018 Navara range will ride and handle better than ever, with a range of suspension and dynamic changes to the ute. What they are, however, hasn’t been announced as yet – we’ll have to wait until the local launch in March to find out.
On a more practical note, the 2018 Nissan Navara range has been given redesigned tray tie-down points that are supposedly easier to reach, whilst the ST-X has four extra low-down hooks. ISOFIX child seat mounts have also been added to the rear seat of all dual cab variants.

RX 4×4 6MT $37,290 (+$300)
RX 4×2 6MT $33,490 (+$500)
