2019 Hyundai i30 range headlined by N-Line models

Hyundai Motor Company Australia has introduced the 2019 Hyundai i30 range, which features new N-Line and N-Line Premium models. The N-Line models introduce Hyundai’s new N-light styling packages to Australia, and are designed to sit in the i30 range with a similar aesthetic to the i30 N hot hatch, but without the performance or price.

Replacing the former SR and SR Premium models, the N-Line and N-Line Premium are priced from $26,490 and $34,990 plus on-road costs. Hyundai company executives confirmed that 2019 i30 N-Lines will land in dealerships this month.

“The new 2019 i30 N Line models build on the sporty appeal of the previous i30 SR to make our award-winning small car an even more compelling proposition,” Hyundai Motor Company Australia Chief Executive Officer, JW Lee said.

“With the N Line, owners can have an i30 N-derived performance package combined with the everyday practicability of our core Hyundai models,” he said.

Replacing the former SR and SR Premium models in the 2019 Hyundai i30 lineup, the N-Line and N-Line Premium introduce a new styling aesthetic to Australian consumers and offer the same 150kW/265Nm 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine. Featuring a bodykit similar to the N hot hatch, the N-Line models take on a more sportier look than the SR, which offered a more sports luxury look. New 18-inch alloy wheels feature on both models, as do front, side and rear styling enhancements, as well as sports seats with leather upholstery, a sports steering wheel and gear shifter, and a whole host of N badges.

Equipment levels for both the N-Line and N-Line Premium are similar to the SR and SR Premium models they replaced. Automatic headlights and wipers, LED daytime running lights, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, DAB+ digital radio, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging and an independent rear suspension setup are standard.

N-Line chosen with the dual-clutch automatic transmission are also equipped with autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop and go functionality, driver attention alert, lane keep assist, and an electric parking brake with rear air vents. The blind-spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert of the former SR models has been removed for unknown reasons.

The $34,990 N-Line Premium then adds a panoramic glass sunroof, LED headlights, heated and ventilated front seats with driver’s 10-way electric adjustment and an Infinity seven-speaker sound system. The rest of the 2019 Hyundai i30 range remains unchanged, aside from the removal of rear foglamps on the i30 Go, Active and Elite and the addition of auto-folding mirrors on the i30 Go automatic.
