A limited edition of the Holden Colorado is now on sale in Australia. Dubbed the Colorado Storm, the limited edition adds $3,000 worth of extra value and is in Holden dealerships now. The Storm edition is aiming to steal sales from competitors such as the Ford Ranger, Toyota HiLux and Mitsubishi Triton.

Based on the second-from-top Colorado LTZ, the Storm adds a number of added items aimed at making the Colorado more “premium experience” than ever before, according to the brand. This includes some equipment from the Holden accessories range, such as a bullbar.

Director of Sales, Michael Filazzola explains the 2018 Colorado Storm continues to provide customers with exceptional value for money during both purchase and ownership.

“In addition to the value for money that the Colorado storm boasts, Holden has recently announced a 7-year/175,000km warranty across its entire range for all purchases from October until 31 December 2017.

“Colorado Storm is a great balance between being a capable 4×4 Pickup and a vehicle that looks striking on the road, and that’s what makes it such a compelling offer” Filazzola said.

Based on the top-spec LTZ, the Colorado Storm adds equipment such as heated leather seats, a polished nudge bar with integrated front parking sensors, accessory cup holders, a Colorado-branded bonnet protector, Storm badging on the rear doors and carpet floor mats.

This is in addition to the healthy standard equipment list offered by the Colorado LTZ, including 18-inch alloy wheels, climate control air-conditioning, an 8.0-inch infotainment system with inbuilt satellite navigation and a reversing camera, an six-way electric driver’s seat, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring, automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers, heated and electric-folding mirrors, keyless start (auto only), lane departure warning, forward collision alert, tyre pressure monitoring and

Being based on the Coloradro LTZ, the Storm’s drivetrain – a 2.8-litre turbo diesel with 128kW of power and 440Nm of torque (500Nm for automatic variants) – remains unchanged. It is available with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic, and Holden claims combined fuel economy as 7.9L/100km for manuals, and 8.7L/100km for automatics.

Like the standard LTZ, the Storm is available in Power Blue, Nitrate, Summit White, Mineral Black, Absolute Red, Auburn Brown and Satin Steel Grey.
