Hyundai releases i30, Elantra and Tucson Trophy editions

Hyundai Australia have released a Trophy special edition of the i30 hatchback, Elantra sedan and Tucson SUV as part of the brand’s of end of financial year sales. Based on entry level specs in each model range, the Trophy editions add up to $2,000 in extra value, according to Hyundai.

The special edition models are in Hyundai dealerships now, and each add equipment usually reserved for higher-end models in the range. Each also has special driveaway pricing to further lure those looking for value buys.

2018 Hyundai i30 Trophy blue front 3/4

Starting with the i30 Trophy special edition, which is available from $23,990 drive away for the six-speed automatic – it’s based on the entry-level i30 Go and is equipped with black or beige leather upholstery, rear parking sensors, a chrome front grille and 17-inch alloy wheels. The i30 Trophy is limited to 1,000 units.

This is in addition to air-conditioning, electric mirrors and windows, a rear-view camera, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Hyundai’s Auto Link smartphone app and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, tyre pressure monitoring and automatic projector beam headlights with LED daytime running lights. The i30 Trophy is only offered with the i30’s 120kW/203Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and a six-speed automatic.

2018 Hyundai Elantra Trophy blue front 3/4

Starting at the same $23,990 drive away price for the six-speed automatic is the Elantra Trophyspecial edition. It’s based on the entry-level Active and is further equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery and a chrome front grille, in addition to the rear parking sensors, automatic headlights, a six-speaker stereo and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto of the Elantra Active.

Like the i30, the Elantra Trophy uses a 2.0-litre petrol engine with 112kW of power and 192Nm of torque, matched to a six-speed automatic transmission. Just 300 Elantra Trophy editions will be offered for sale.

2018 Hyundai Tuscon Trophy grey front 3/4

Finally, priced from $31,990 drive away for the six-speed automatic, the Tucson Trophyspecial edition is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, heated exterior mirrors, an illuminated interior vanity mirrors and glovebox, chrome exterior door handles, a matte grey lower side trim insert, black or beige leather interior trim and a chrome front grille.

This is on top of the Tucson Active’s automatic headlights, six-speaker audio, 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring, front and rear foglamps and LED daytime running lights. The Tucson Trophy uses the same 2.0-litre petrol/front-wheel drive/six-speed automatic drivetrain as the i30 and Elantra, though with a 121kW/203Nm tune. 650 Tucson Trophy models will be available.
