2025 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series gains safety, tech and convenience upgrades

Popular big 4WD will receive a series of improvements to standard equipment from second quarter 2025

The 2025 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series is being upgraded in the areas of safety and technology.

All variants now include lane trace assist with steering wheel vibration and emergency steering assist, previously not available on the GX base model or next-up GXL grade.

GXL and above now gain safe-exit assist to help prevent doors being opened into oncoming vehicles or cyclists, while the GXL also gains rear parking auto-brake functionality.

Infotainment tech is also improved, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard across the LandCruiser 300 Series range. For multimedia touchscreens, the GX and GXL grades use an 8.0-inch screen, while higher grades gain a much larger 12.3-inch touchscreen.

The GX and GXL receive a new 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, while other variants adopt a larger 12.3-inch instrument cluster. The GX also now gets electric tilt adjustment for the steering wheel, front LED interior lighting, and guidelines for the reversing camera.

GXL ramps up comfort and convenience with suede-like fabric upholstery, eight-way electric driver’s seat, four-zone climate control, and a centre cool box.

The VX finalises the updates with eight-way power for the front passenger seat, a new auto tailgate, as well as an HDMI port.

Toyota says more details and pricing will be confirmed closer to the updated 300 Series launch, but the latter would be expected to increase based on industry trends.

The LandCruiser 300 Series range continues to be powered by a 3.3-litre twin-turbo diesel V6 engine that produces 227kW/700Nm and uses a permanent four-wheel-drive system with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
