A more affordable entry-level Fabia will join the range, even as many manufacturers move away from small car offerings
Skoda Australia has announced it will bring a new, cheaper Fabia hatchback offering to our local market.
Joining the existing $38,990 driveaway high-spec Monte Carlo will be a new Select grade, priced sharply from $31,990 driveaway nationally.
The Fabia is based upon the same platform and underpinnings as the Volkswagen Polo and, for the Select, will be powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 85kW/200Nm.
The Skoda Fabia competes in the small car segment with the likes of the Volkswagen Polo (from $31,990 driveaway), MG’s MG3 (from $18,990 driveaway) and the Toyota Yaris (from $32,221 driveaway).
The new Fabia Select will arrive in Aussie showrooms in August 2024.
Skoda has announced that the base Select grade will include the following features as standard:
Key safety features include:
The new Skoda Fabia Select will be offered with the brand’s seven-year, unlimited kilometre warranty.
All prices listed are driveaway.
