Pricing for three- and five-year servicing for the Born starts from $990 as of 1 April 2023
Cupra Australia has announced its service pricing for its soon-to-be-released Born electric hatchback.
A three-year service pack for the Born is set to cost $990 from 1 April 2023, but the brand’s new electric car will also be available with a five-year service pack costing $1590.
Cupra claims that its service pricing for the Born is “more affordable than two comparably priced BEVs and within $190 of others from non-European brands”.
The Born is scheduled for first deliveries later in 2023, with the brand securing over 350 orders locally.
The Spanish brand has also secured additional Borns for Australia, with 200 more vehicles locked in for local delivery.
The Cupra Born has been priced to start from $59,990 before on-road costs and uses a single electric motor on the rear axle that produces 170kW/310Nm.
Powering the Born is a 77kWh usable battery pack that allows for a maximum driving range of 511km (WLTP).
The Cupra Born will compete with cars such as the BYD Atto 3 small SUV and Tesla Model 3 sedan in Australia’s electric car market.
Cupra says that the Leon and Formentor models with V, VZ, VZe and VZx trims, along with the Ateca VZx, are available with a five-year service pack that costs $1990.
Prices for the Leon hatchback kick off from $43,990 for the entry-level V variant, with the flagship Leon VZx costing the same as the electric Cupra Born – $59,990 before on-road costs.
The Formentor SUV, meanwhile, starts from $50,690 before on-road costs and tops out at $63,990 for the VZx flagship.
Finally, the Cupra Ateca is priced from $61,750 before on-road costs and is available with one high-spec variant, the VZx.
All prices listed are before on-road costs.
