Orders are now open for GMC’s Yukon Denali, with first deliveries to take place from the second quarter of 2025
GMC, the American SUV manufacturer distributed in Australia by GMSV, has announced the pricing and standard specifications for its Yukon Denali large SUV.
Priced in Australia from $169,990 before on-road costs, the Yukon will be available in a sole Denali grade and is the first time it has been offered on Australian shores.
GMSV has claimed that the Yukon Denali is the only eight-seat SUV in Australia offered with a V8 engine, however the entry-level Nissan Patrol Ti with its V8 engine has seating for eight.
Key competitors for the Yukon include the Nissan Patrol, the Lexus LX and the BMW X7, among others.
The eight seat SUV will arrive in Australia from the second quarter of 2025. Orders are now open.
The GMC Yukon Denali is powered by the same 6.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8 petrol engine found in the Chevrolet Silverado, producing 313kW of power and 624Nm of torque.
This engine is paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission and what GMC calls “Dynamic Fuel Management”, which essentially acts as a form of cylinder deactivation.
The Yukon Denali uses a part-time four-wheel drive system and is capable of towing, in GMSV’s words, “in excess of 3500kg”. An exact figure is not stated, though the related Silverado is rated at 4500kg braked when equipped with a 70mm tow ball.
While fuel economy is not stated in the press release, a fuel capacity of 91 litres is listed.
The Yukon Denali will arrive in very high spec, and includes the following as standard:
The Yukon Denali is unlikely to see an ANCAP test, however as standard, the large American SUV will include:
All prices listed are before on-road costs.
