GWM has replaced the exterior chrome parts with black trim for its flagship Cannon Vanta edition, priced at $46,490 driveaway
GWM has announced a new variant for its aptly named Ute range called the Vanta that will helm the lineup as the flagship model.
Like the Haval H6 Vanta and Jolion Vanta, the Cannon Vanta is essentially a black-pack version of the top-spec Cannon-X 4×4 dual-cab ute.
The Vanta replaces the regular chrome trim with black elements, including the badges, grille, door handles, side mirror caps and 18-inch alloy wheels.
A new black sports bar has been added to the rear tray – a new addition for the Cannon range.
Other than the black exterior trim pieces, the rest of the Cannon Vanta is identical in specification to the Cannon-X ute that Chasing Cars ran on our long term fleet for six months.
This means features such as heated leather seats, wireless phone charging, 360-degree camera, a 7.0-inch instrument cluster and three power steering modes all carry over for the Vanta.
Standard safety features include AEB with cyclist and pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control and traffic sign recognition.
The Cannon Vanta ute is priced at $46,490 driveaway and comes with a seven-year, unlimited kilometre warranty, along with five years of road-side assist and five years capped-price servicing.
All prices listed are driveaway.
