A new steering wheel and dash layout has been spied in the small Korean-built SUV
Fresh off the back of spy shots of the next-generation Hyundai Santa Fe emerging, we’ve now gotten a glimpse of the 2023 Hyundai Kona’s interior thanks to Auto Post Korea.
The spy shot reported on by Korean Car Blog shows the full dash, steering wheel and centre console of the next-generation Kona.
Probably the most notable aspect of this photo is the long display, which stretches from behind the steering wheel to the edge of the centre console.
Considering that this next-generation Hyundai Kona will be sitting on the same K3 platform as the new Kia Niro, it’s interesting to see a different approach to the interior.
In the new Niro, Kia has included a large display in the range-topping variant, which is comprised of a digital cluster and the infotainment display.
As for the new steering wheel, it looks to be similar to the wheel in the Ioniq 5, which makes use of scrolling tabs on either side of the airbag.
As for the exterior, Hyundai has made sure to cover the next-generation vehicles that have been spotted in Korea, so we have little to go off.
Horizontal tail lights and large fender liners are the only exterior aspects of the new Kona that can be spotted here.
