What powers the new Hyundai Santa Fe?

Hyundai has decided to ditch the 2.2-litre turbo-diesel and 3.5-litre petrol V6 powertrains for 2024 and onwards.

Instead, from launch, the new Santa-Fe will be powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged hybrid system, producing outputs of 169kW/350Nm.

This system will be paired to a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission and will be available with either front- or all-wheel drive.

The Santa Fe will be hybrid only for 2024

Combined fuel economy is rated at 5.6L/100km, however it’s not certain whether this figure is for the all-wheel drive or front-drive versions of the Santa FE SUV.
