Pricing has lobbed online for the new-look, hybrid-only 2024 Santa Fe large SUV, with prices set to begin from $55,500 before on-road costs
Australian pricing has been confirmed for the new-generation, hybrid-only Hyundai Santa Fe large SUV.
The Korean SUV has been officially priced from $55,500 before on-road costs for the entry-level model.
That’s a significant price-of-entry increase of $9450 over the outgoing fourth-generation model.
Pricing will top out as much as $75,500 before on-road costs for the flagship six-seat Calligraphy hybrid.
The new Santa Fe is due to arrive in Australia in the coming months. The model competes with other large SUVs such as the Kia Sorento, Toyota Kluger and the Mazda CX-8, among others.
Hyundai has decided to ditch the 2.2-litre turbo-diesel and 3.5-litre petrol V6 powertrains for 2024 and onwards.
Instead, from launch, the new Santa-Fe will be powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged hybrid system, producing outputs of 169kW/350Nm.
This system will be paired to a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission and will be available with either front- or all-wheel drive.
Combined fuel economy is rated at 5.6L/100km, however it’s not certain whether this figure is for the all-wheel drive or front-drive versions of the Santa FE SUV.
Starting with the base Santa Fe, owners will receive the following standard specification:
