The newest Hyundai Staria Load van, the Premium, will go on sale this month starting from $51,240 before on-road costs
Hyundai Australia has officially announced a new variant of its Staria Load commercial van, the Premium, that is set to arrive on local shores this month.
Priced from $51,240 before on-road costs, the two-seat Premium fits ADAS active safety systems to protect its occupants. Hyundai says that this is its safest van yet.
Targeted towards fleet buyers, small businesses and tradespeople, the Hyundai Staria Load shifted 3291 units throughout 2022, selling more vans than the Volkswagen Transporter and Mitsubishi Express.
Hyundai Australia says the new Staria Load Premium will go on sale during February 2023.
The Premium variant of the Staria Load steps things up a notch in terms of standard equipment, technology and safety when compared to the rest of the range.
New features include a 10.25-inch central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels (rather than steel wheels with hubcaps), automatic climate control, push button start and a power tailgate.
Other useful features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, two USB ports, a leather steering wheel and wireless phone charging.
All Staria Loads, including the Premium, are powered by a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine that produces 130kW/430Nm. This engine is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission connected exclusively to the front wheels.
The Hyundai Staria Load Premium was most recently awarded a Platinum award for safety by Australian safety agency ANCAP, meaning that the model scored a respectable 90 percent – a higher score than any other commercial van currently sold in Australia.
The model currently holds a five-star safety rating and is fitted as standard with the following safety systems:
All prices listed are before on-road costs.
