Ineos Grenadier 2023: Australian pricing revealed for Quartermaster ute

The new Ineos ute, called the Quartermaster, will be priced from $110,000 before on-road costs, making it one of the most expensive utes to go on sale locally

Ineos has launched Australian pricing for its new Grenadier Quartermaster ute.

Pricing will start from $110,000 before on-road costs for the new dual-cab ute, competing in a price bracket higher than the Toyota 79 Series Land Cruiser GXL, which is currently priced from $77,200 before on-road costs.

This also makes the new Quartermaster ute $13,000 more expensive than the entry-level wagon version of the Grenadier, which starts from $97,000 before on-road costs.

Ineos says the Quartermaster is 305mm longer than the wagon version and features a rear tray with dimensions of 1564mm long and 1619mm wide, and can handle a standard Euro-size pallet.

Unlike many dual-cab utes on the market today, the Quartermaster will be fitted with a coil-sprung rear end, rather than leaf springs.

Ineos states that the Quartermaster will allow for a maximum payload of 760kg and can tow up to 3500kg braked.

The new Quartermaster ute is now available to order in Australia on the Ineos website.

Chasing Cars has reached out to ask Ineos when the first batch of deliveries are expected. We will update this story if we receive a response.

Like the wagon version, the Quartermaster is available with either a BMW-sourced 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six engine, or a BMW twin-turbo diesel straight-six engine.

Outputs for the petrol straight-six are 210kW/450Nm, while the diesel version will have outputs of 183kW/550Nm. Both engines will be mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission with a low-range transfer case.

Three variants will be available including Grenadier, Trialmaster Edition and a Fieldmaster Edition – just like the wagon version of the Grenadier.
