Isuzu is refreshing its D-max ute range for 2023, with pricing remaining unchanged from the MY22 cars
Isuzu has announced it will update both its D-Max utility range as well as its MU-X SUV range for 2023.
There are now 24 variants available for the D-Max ute range, from 4×2 work utes right through to the flagship 4×4 X-Terrain.
Three new SX variants are available for 2023, including a 4×2 crew cab chassis, an 4×2 crew cab ute automatic and a 4×4 crew cab ute automatic, all with Isuzu’s 1.9-litre turbo-diesel engine.
Competing squarely with the Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux and Nissan Navara, the D-Max range kicks off at $32,200 before on-road costs for the entry level 4×2 SX single cab and is capped at $67,500 for the flagship 4×4 X-Terrain,
The updated 2023 model year D-Max will be released in Australia in December 2022, with full specification details due in the coming months.
Isuzu has made enhancements to the towing, exterior, tailgate, and interior for the D-Max for 2023.
The D-Max is set to look a little different to before thanks to a redesigned front grille, as well as new wheel designs in 17- and 19-inch sizes. A tyre-pressure monitoring system is now available for LS-U, LS-U+ and X-Terrain models.
Isuzu has also reworked the rear of the D-Max, with all utes now fitted with a gas-strut-assisted tailgate for easy one-hand operation.
Isuzu has also tweaked the towing process with the D-Max by automatically disabling blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert when a trailer is hitched to the vehicle via the wiring harness.
On the inside, Isuzu says it has added new seat upholstery options, with high-grade cloth available for LS-M and LS-U and leather-accented upholstery for the LS-U+ and X-Terrain. The X-Terrain gains unique red-stitching not found elsewhere in the range.
The SX crew cab ute and SX crew cab chassis both receive an additional USB power outlet in the second row for charging devices.
Three new colours will be available with the MY23 utes, including Neptune blue mica, Granite grey metallic (for the X-Terrain exclusively) and Moonstone white pearl (LS-U, LS-U+ and X-Terrain only).
All prices listed are before on-road costs.
