The new Countryman SUV range will include petrol and electric versions and will arrive in Australia in Q3, 2024
Mini Australia has confirmed pricing and specification for a further three models for the new-generation Countryman small SUV, two of which are fully electric.
Although pricing starts at $49,990 before on-road costs for the already-confirmed front-drive Countryman C, Mini will offer its first all-electric small SUV from $64,990 before on-road costs.
Pricing for electric Countryman variants sits as high as $77,990 before on-road costs for the SE ALL4 JCW Sport.
An all-wheel-drive John Cooper Works combustion variant of the Countryman will also be available in Australia, priced from $67,990 before on-road costs.
The three new Countryman variants will arrive in Australia during the third quarter of 2024.
If you don’t want to wait until the third quarter of this year, the good news is that the initial Countryman C and S combustion variants will go on sale in the first quarter of 2024.

All variants of the new Countryman will include the brand’s new 240mm OLED display touchscreen as the centrepiece of the interior.
The Mini brand is also going leather-free for its new-generation Countryman, and has applied the use of Cloth/Vescin faux-leather across the small SUV’s range.
The Countryman is also larger than before and is 130mm longer and 60mm taller than the last generation. Countryman E and SE models have a 460-litre boot, while the JCW version boasts a larger 505-litre boot.
Country E and SE models come fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, while the JCW gains 19-inch alloy wheels. Optional 20-inch wheels are available.
Beginning with the JCW combustion model, this variant is powered by a 233kW/400Nm turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine. This model is all-wheel drive and is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
In the entry-level electric Countryman E, this variant will be powered by a 150kW/250Nm electric motor on the front axle. This motor is connected to a 63.8kWh battery pack and will provide a claimed electric range of 462km (WLTP).
Stepping up into the Countryman SE ALL4, this model will gain a beefier 230kW/494Nm dual-motor setup connected to a 63.8kWh battery pack. Electric range is rated at 433km (WLTP).
