The Pajero Sport is now a little bit smarter than before, with pricing for the SUV increasing by up to $1000 compared to 2022
Mitsubishi Australia has announced several updates for its Pajero Sport SUV in 2023, with pricing now slightly higher than before.
Prices for the Pajero Sport are up by $1000 in most cases, with some variants such as the GLX 4×2 and GLX 4×4 up by $500 when compared to 2022 pricing.
Mitsubishi has added tyre-pressure monitoring to the GLS, Exceed and GSR variants for 2023, along with adding new colours.
The updated Pajero Sport will begin production in February and will land in Australian dealerships during April 2023.
Along with tyre-pressure monitoring, the Pajero Sport will also gain new colours for 2023, including Impulse Blue for GLS and Exceed variants and Terra Rossa for the flagship GSR.
Mitsubishi says that its popular GLS Deluxe variant will continue for 2023, boasting front seat power adjustment, a surround-view monitor, leather seats and a steering wheel camera switch over the standard GLS trim.
The flagship GSR will remain the same as in 2022, and is available with blacked out elements including 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear bumper garnish, front grille, roof, rear spoiler and engine hood emblem.
No powertrain adjustments have been made for 2023 which means that the entire range will continue to be powered by a 2.4-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine that produces 133kW/430Nm. All Pajero Sports are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
All Pajero Sports are fitted with front and side, curtain and driver’s knee airbags.
Other standard safety gear includes emergency brake assist, emergency stop signal, forward collision mitigation, hill start assist, a speed limiter, trailer stability assist and, on some models, blind spot warning, lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert and auto dusk-sensing headlights.
The current Mitsubishi Pajero Sport was initially tested by Australian safety agency ANCAP back in 2015 where it scored five stars, however since January 2023, the vehicle’s rating has expired and is no longer currently rated.
Several genuine accessory packs are available for the 2023 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, allowing owners to spec the SUV in whichever way they want.
Three packs are available for the Pajero Sport: signature, signature plus and expedition. Each are outlined below:
Signature pack (from $3762):
Signature plus pack (from $5753):
Expedition pack (from $8515):
