Facelifted 911 range grows with two upgraded GT3 variants launching simultaneously

Porsche’s facelifted 911 range is set to expand, with the brand revealing an updated 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 with Touring Pack to join the rest of the range.

The 911 GT3 will expectedly be a regular track-focused variant complete with a rear wing, while the GT3 with Touring Package will bring with it more subdued ‘street’ styling and no wing.

As well as this, the GT3 with Touring Package will have a rear-seat system option for the first time.

Powering both variants will be the iconic naturally aspirated six-cylinder 4.0-litre boxer engine making for 375kW/450Nm mated to the brand’s seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission. A six-speed manual option is offered on both variants.

Porsche claims a 0-100km/h sprint of 3.4 seconds and top speed of 311km/h for the automatic GT3, or 3.9 seconds and 313km/h for the manual.

At the rear there are updates to the air inlets, diffuser and rear lid design, as well as subtle changes to the wing on the 911 GT3.
