An updated grille, new headlights, fresh wheel designs and a revamped interior are all set for the 2024 Skoda Kamiq
The facelifted 2024 Skoda Kamiq has been officially revealed with the small SUV having been treated to modest updates inside and out.
Now with a larger grille, new front apron and a wider air intake, the Skoda Kamiq looks to be a little more aggressive in appearance than before.
Reshaped LED headlights with updated LED technology feature for the first time as an option, along with LED fog lights.
At the rear, the Kamiq looks slightly different to before thanks to a new L-shaped light signature that extends into the tailgate. This will be standard on the high-spec Monte Carlo variant.
New alloy wheel designs will be available for both 17-inch and 18-inch sizes. Owners will have the choice of up to nine exterior paint colours, including the vibrant Phoenix Orange.
Inside, Skoda has tweaked the interior with new sustainable materials for the upholstery, including floor mats made partially from hemp and kenaf fibres.
A spokesperson for Skoda Australia advised Chasing Cars that the facelifted Kamiq and Scala models are expected locally during the second quarter of 2024.
Pricing for the 2024 Skoda Kamiq is set to be announced closer to the vehicle’s on-sale date.
Interior technology is familiar to before, with the base specification screen now slightly larger at 8.25-inch in diameter, with the 9.2-inch screen available in flagship guise.
Several ‘simply clever’ design items have been added to the Kamiq for 2024, such as a foot-operated electric tailgate that joins the existing door-mounted umbrella, parking ticket holder and an ice-scraper, with a tyre tread depth gauge located in the fuel filler cap.
Other creature comforts are being added to both the Kamiq and Scala models for 2024, such as smartphone storage pockets on the backs of the front seats, flexible cup holder and central storage system.
Two optional ‘simply clever’ packages will be available globally. A basic package includes cargo elements such as a 12-volt outlet, a luggage net and top tether hooks.
The Plus package adds storage compartments for under the front seats, brackets to hold multimedia devices and an unfolding door edge protector for those tight car spaces.
