The Suzuki Jimny is celebrating its heritage with a new edition that adds aesthetic changes to the affordable four-wheel drive
Suzuki Australia has announced the price and specs for its new Jimny variant – the Heritage Edition – that will be coming to Australia from April 2023.
Pricing starts from $33,490 before on-road costs, the same price as the current GLX Jimny in automatic guise. The entry-level Lite remains priced at $30,490 before on-road costs.
Several colours will be available with the new Jimny Heritage edition, including Jungle Green, Bluish Black, Medium Grey and White.
Just 300 units have been confirmed for Australia, so Suzuki Australia recommends that those interested speak to their local Suzuki dealership.
Suzuki Australia has further specified the three-door Jimny with red front and rear mudflaps, a Heritage cargo tray, side decals, limited build badging and an ‘exclusive Jimny Heritage pack’.
Suzuki haven’t announced any changes to engine, suspension or transmission for the Heritage edition.
All Suzuki Jimnys continue to be powered by a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine that produces 75kW/130Nm. A five speed-manual or four-speed automatic transmission is available.
The Heritage edition is based on the GLX flagship, so along with the new equipment and exterior decals, the Heritage edition will also feature equipment standard on the GLX.
Owners will receive a 7.0-inch central touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, satellite navigation, bluetooth, a two-speaker sound system, LED headlights and front fog lights.
All prices listed are before on-road costs.
