Volkswagen says supply of Amarok utes is strong in Australia
Volkswagen Australia’s Commercial Vehicle Director, Ryan Davies, says that for the first time since the launch of the current generation Amarok, the importer has the supply of vehicles right.
Driveaway pricing for the 2025 VW Amarok range is now lower than prices offered on the Ford Ranger platform, which the Amarok is based off.

Aston Martin reveals plans for EV model, but there will be a wait
Aston Martin has said they will enter the EV market, with new CEO Adrian Hallmark discussing the brand’s plan for the future.
Hybrid production will expand first, with the brand releasing a suite of plug-in hybrid options. The first hybrid offered will be the mid-engined Valhalla.
While Aston Martin has announced these plans heading towards electrification, it seems they are taking their time to get there. The first EV is expected before the end of this decade, with the release slated for 2030.
“It’s not as clear-cut as three or five years ago, but the general-direction is absolutely towards electrification. Our commitment is towards carbon-neutral or net zero, but to get there we will double down and add incremental products in the hybrid space before we get to full electric,” said Hallmark.
