All-terrain large SUV sees increase of up to $1000 across the range
Ford Australia has lifted pricing for its MY24 Everest in tandem with recent and similar hikes for its Ranger pickup.
Pricing has risen from between $200 and $1000 for vehicles built from August 2023 onwards, compared with the list pricing of MY23 versions produced prior.
The Everest now starts from the list price of $53,490 for the Ambiente RWD 2.0L twin-turbo-diesel, with the lineup topping out at $78,530 before on roads for the Platinum 3.0L turbo-diesel V6.
The more modest increase of $200 applies to the base Ambiente in either rear-drive or 4WD ($58,490 list) guises as well as the high-spec Sport in rear-driven 2.0L form ($62,990 list).
A $400 increase has been applied to the mid-range Trend, which is powered by the 2.0L engine and is offered in both RWD ($65,990 list) and 4WD ($65,990 list) variants.
The big ticket $1000 hikes occur in the two in-demand diesel V6 4WD wagons in the Everest lineup, the penultimate Sport ($70,590 list) and the flagship Platinum ($78,530 list), that latter of which is, according to Ford Australia, inclusive of luxury car tax..
Like its pickup-based T6.2 Ranger twin, the Everest offers no specification changes in its MY24 guises.
“The price adjustments are consistent with the evaluation of market conditions we regularly undertake across our product portfolio,” a Ford spokesperson told Chasing Cars.
“[This] takes into consideration a number of different external factors such as currency and material cost considerations.”
The only Everest variant not to succumb to a price increase in the recently unveiled Wildtrak V6 ($73,090 list), which is available to order though isn’t due to arrive into showrooms between July and September this year.
All prices listed are before on-road costs.
