The Palisade Highlander variant is gone, having now been replaced by a new Calligraphy variant for 2024
Hyundai Australia has announced its 2024 Palisade large SUV, with the vehicle now headlined by new Calligraphy and Calligraphy Black Ink variants.
Pricing for the spacious SUV range now starts from $66,800 before on-road costs for the base Elite V6 and tops out at $80,900 before on-road costs for the Calligraphy Black Ink turbo-diesel automatic.
Cost of entry jumped up, too, with the starting price now $900 more than before for the front-wheel drive Palisade Elite V6.
The new Calligraphy variants have now replaced the previous range topper, the Hyundai Palisade Highlander.
Hyundai’s flagship Palisade range is now on sale in Australia and rivals other SUVs in the popular segment such as the Toyota Kluger large SUV and the Nissan Pathfinder large SUV.
The Hyundai Palisade remains to be powered by the choice of two engines: a 3.8-litre petrol V6 engine with 217kW/355Nm, or a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine that produces 147kW/440Nm.
Both engines are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission, with the V6 only being available in front-wheel drive. The 2.2-litre turbo-diesel is exclusively all-wheel drive.
There are nine exterior colours to choose from for the 2024 Palisade range, however the Calligraphy Black Ink variant is only available in either Abyss Black or Creamy White.
The three-row Hyundai Palisade is available with either seven or eight seat configurations, with a 2-2-3 or 2-3-3 layout. The second row can be configured with captain’s chairs.
Spotters will be able to spot a Palisade Calligraphy Black Ink over a Hyundai Palisade Elite thanks to a dark tinted radiator grille and bumper garnish, along with gloss black 20-inch alloy wheels.
Also added are dark tinted front and rear skid plates, lower door garnishes, tail light garnishes and badging and black gloss roof rails.
Inside, black suede seats and black suede headlining also feature.
