The updated GLB lineup sees price rises for the facelifted medium SUV that scores additional features and hybrid technology

Prices have been announced for the facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLB medium SUV, which goes on sale this week, featuring styling tweaks, additional standard equipment and new hybrid technology across the entire lineup.

The gains in specification for the previously announced facelift for the Audi Q5 and BMW X3 competitor also bring price rises between $400 and $6000 across the range depending on variant, with cost of entry rising from $67,000 to $72,900 (before on-road costs) for the entry-level GLB200.

Comparatively, the GLB250 4Matic rises in price from $80,569 to $84,100 and the top-spec Mercedes-AMG GLB35 4Matic experiences a more modest increase from $102,469 to $102,900, all prices before on road costs.

Coming with the price increases are a number of additions to the models specifications, with all variants of the seven-seat SUV now featuring mild hybrid technology through a 48-volt electrical system, which is able to generate an extra 10kW of power in support of the petrol engine.

Prices have risen across the range, but the upgraded model also features additional features

As well as this, standard equipment has been bolstered across the line up with features that had previously been optional. These include an AMG line exterior package, panoramic sunroof, 19-inch AMG five-spoke light-alloy wheels, electric/memory and heated front seats, and standard metallic paint.

The Mercedes-AMG GLB35 4Matic also gains a Burmester surround sound system, driving assistance package and night package as standard.
