Pre-orders are now open for Subaru’s latest Impreza all-wheel drive small car, but it’s more expensive and the sedan is no more
The 2024 Subaru Impreza is almost here, promising greater safety, better technologies and a refined exterior design.
The sixth-generation Impreza will be available with three variants on offer: 2.0L, 2.0R and 2.0S. The range will start from $31,490 before on-road costs. The range-topping 2.0S will cost buyers $37,990 before on-road costs.
The Subaru Impreza for 2024 sees some price rises over the last car, with the cost of entry for the base L model now $4000 greater than before.
Of course, Subaru has stuck to its roots by continuing to offer its iconic symmetrical all-wheel drive system for the Impreza, along with a boxer engine.
The naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine is identical to the one found in the Crosstrek small SUV and produces 115kW of power and 196Nm of torque. The Subaru Impreza’s transmission is a CVT unit with paddle shifters included as standard.
Pre-orders are now open for the all-wheel drive small car with first deliveries expected in Australia from December 2023.
Last year, Subaru sold 1945 examples of the Impreza in Australia. It was the fifth best selling small car; the Toyota Corolla (17,251 sales) was the segment leader.
There will be three variants of Impreza to choose from, however there is no longer an option for a sedan body type.
Beginning with the entry-level 2.0L, buyers will receive the following features as standard:
Jumping up into the 2.0R, owners will receive the following additional features:
