The Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Adventure will arrive in August, priced from $51,990 before on-road costs
Volkswagen has announced that an Adventure grade of the Tiguan Allspace will go on sale in Australia in June, priced from $51,990 before on-road costs, before deliveries begin in August.
In Volkswagen Australia’s words, “the Adventure is ideal for singles, couples and families with a penchant for the complementary virtues of sports performance, smooth ride quality, dynamic handling and immense practicality”.
The added versatility of a 760-litre boot (up 60 litres thanks to the removal of the third-row seats) makes the Allspace Adventure a compelling package.
It’s not the first time we have seen the Adventure badge slapped on a Volkswagen product, with previous Amarok and Touareg models also featuring the variant nameplate in the past.
The powertrain on the Allspace Adventure consists of a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine from the 162TSI Elegance and R-Line models that produces 162kW of power and 350Nm of torque.
The updated Tiguan Allspace range will arrive in Australia in June this year, with the five-seat Adventure variant arriving in August 2022.
The Tiguan Allspace Adventure comes standard with many features including 17-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, increased battery capacity and 180-amp alternator, heated front seats, three-zone climate control, electric folding and heated exterior mirrors, rear-view camera, LED headlights, a digital cockpit and an 8.0-inch navigation and infotainment system, with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
The Adventure variant also comes with Volkswagen’s IQ Drive which features several safety technologies including adaptive lane guidance, front assist with pedestrian monitoring, lane assist, emergency assist, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, rear cross traffic alert, park assist and driver fatigue detection.
Three accessory packs are available at no extra cost including snow chains and all-weather floor mats, a rear sunblind or a luggage compartment tray and protection plate.
All prices listed are before on-road costs.
